AQA GCSE Maths Higher Worked Solutions

When students are revising by working through past examination papers it's not a lot of use just giving them access the examiners' mark schemes and expecting them to get on with it.  These are usually impenetrable to the student and littered with meaningless acronyms where even the correct answer can be hard to spot.

The attached are handwritten worked solutions - 'friendlier' than typed - written on the basis of balancing minimum prior knowledge with the easiest achievable solution with occasional hints on potential pitfalls.

My suggestion is that the student copy out the written answer and then reread their own handwriting to check understanding.  What could be easier.  Examinations are formulaic following the same pattern year-by-year.  Work through five years of papers and I guarantee every topic will be covered in the next 'for real' exam.
